The optical components of our variable laser beam attenuator are a dielectric filter paired with a an optical plate for compensation of the beam offset that is induced by the filter. (translation displacement < 25 µm, angular displacement < 50 µrad). A continuous attenuation of the transmitted laser beam is achieved via gradual changes of the tilt angle (error < 2 mrad) of the dielectric filter in the range between 0° and 45°. A detailed manual is provided.
Manual adjustment: Via control knob and precise gear box The tilt angle of the variable laser beam attenuator is adjusted using a control knob. The precise gear box allows for a highly accurate modulation of the laser power. An optional water-cooled heat sink is available as accessory.
Stepper motor controlled: For use in automated laser production processes. The tilt angle of the variable laser beam attenuator is adjusted via a stepper motor. The range of 45 ° is spread over 800 microsteps. Operation using a motor controller enables adjustment and use with a computer. An optional water-cooled heat sink is available as accessory.
Vacuum applications: In stainless steel housing with flange connectors. The tilt angle of the variable laser beam attenuator is adjusted via a stepper motor. The range of 45 ° is spread over 800 microsteps. Operation using a motor controller enables adjustment and use with a computer. With DN 50 flanges for beam entrance and outlet and sideways DN 16 for the connection of purging gas or vacuum line
